Fascinating approach to Japan in an intensive solo backpacker journey. A very hot, humid weather didn't stop me from exploring Tokyo and Kyoto, main bases for day trips to Hiroshima, Nara, Himeji, Nikko and Kamakura. Especially impressed by the friendliness and cultural richness of Kyoto, it took me longer to discover Tokyo - I must say I just saw a small part of it: Ueno, Asakusa, Ginza, Shinjuku, Kagurazaka. My time in Japan was a non-stop observing, photographing and enjoying a westernised life not so different from what I live in Europe, except for an infinite amount of small curious details - this is what makes the trip so unforgettable and rewarding.
